Single Channel Digital Ignition TesterHand held tester generates a trigger signal to check the operation of MSD single channel Igns and the coil (6, 7, 8 and 10 Series Ign Controls) LCD display shows the simulated RPM and can be used to confirm the operation of rev limits, rpm activated switches, shift lights and tachs. Additional circuit will check the operation of cam sync signals. Triggers through breaker points, amplifier and magnetic pickup trigger inputs from the MSD Ign. Can be used on 4, 6 and 8-cyl engines. This Tester will check the operation of all of MSDs single-channel CD Ign Controls. Once the ignition tests good, you can continue troubleshooting and find the culprit. It produces a simulated trigger signal that fires the ignition just as if the engine was running. A special, load-producing clip-on spark plug is included to connect to the coil wire. If the spark is unable to jump the gap of the tester, there is an ign problem and you can track it down.
