Racing Gear Lubes
What is Bulldog Blood gear oil?
Bulldog Blood is a high-performance synthetic gear oil designed for extreme racing conditions on the track. This proprietary formula from DMI lowers the temperature, increases gear life, and prevents excessive wear.
What is moly gear oil?
When it comes to gear oil, moly is short for molybdenum disulfide, an inorganic compound made up of microscopic particles that coat and lubricate metal surfaces. Moly has become a common additive to premium gear oil for its friction-reducing benefits, though many modern formulas contain an oil-soluble version of moly: molybdenum dithiocarbamate.
How often should you check your racing gear oil?
With so many moving parts in your gearbox that have a direct effect on how well your race car runs, check your gear oil after every couple of races. Top off if levels are low and replace if the gear oil looks dirty.
