Does a Mallory Unilite distributor require a ballast resistor?
Yes. The Mallory Unilite distributor requires a ballast resistor. Failure to use the correct ignition ballast resistor can damage the UNILITE® ignition module. The three wires from the Mallory distributor must be connected using the supplied harness and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure proper operation.
