Aluminum adapter installs in place of the OE style oil filter adapter, eliminating the bypass found in OE adapter and providing 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet ports for connecting an external oil cooler. Adapter lowers the oil filter 1-1/2" and directs oil first to the oil cooler and then through the filter before entering the engine. Adapter fits most 1968-96 SB Chevy and 1968-90 Gen IV BB Chevy engines, has 13/16"-16 threads for spin-on style oil filters and includes mounting hardware and o-rings.
